Carly and Ben’s Beautiful Barn Wedding
Carly and Ben were married at St Nicholas’ church Wasing Park Aldermaston, West Berkshire on the 2nd October 2015.
The bride wore a bespoke Caroline Castigliano Eugenie dress with a beautiful cathedral veil and a beaded belt.
Carly says of her dress: I started looking for wedding dresses a year before our wedding day and I struggled at first to find a dress which lived up to my expectations and dreams. So many dresses I tried all looked the same and, for me, didn’t have the ‘wow’ factor. I always knew I wanted a traditional dress that that oozed glamour and sophistication. It was on the 5th November 2014 when I first walked into Caroline’s store in Knightsbridge. Growing up and living in Guildford, I always used to pass Caroline’s Guildford store when shopping with my Mum as a child and remember looking in the window display imagining myself wearing one of her dresses. The day I booked my appointment Caroline answered the phone and upon telling her my childhood memory I could tell she was touched and I knew from that moment I was going to find what I had been looking for – I wasn’t wrong.
I first met Jess and she showed me all the different styles and designs, focusing on the shape and flow; I had an idea in my mind which one I wanted to try from the start but was open to suggestions and tried 2/3 before I tried on ‘Eugenie’ . The minute I stepped in to it and walked out to see my Mum I knew I had found my dress, everything looked and felt right. I fell in love with the delicate corded lace and beautiful organza skirt and after a few slight changes and accessories (including some delicate straps and a gorgeous belt I bought especially for the evening!) my dress was complete. A few months later I bought a beautiful cathedral length veil to complete the look. On the day my dress fitted me like a glove and couldn’t have looked more perfect.
