Tell us the date of your wedding ?
Saturday 29th June 2024
Your husband’s name?
Ali Hunter
Where and when did you get engaged? We would love to know about that wonderful moment.
We got engaged on 4th April 2023 in Dubai. It was a complete surprise to me! Ali took me for dinner in a private area at the top of my favourite hotel. It had 360 degree views of the sky line and we had the perfect evening!
Where did you get married?
Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, France.
Where was the ceremony and reception held at?
The ceremony was held in the Volupte Gardens in the hotel with beautiful views of the sea. Our dinner was at Club Dauphin - a separate area of the hotel which is their beach club by day.
Why did you choose your venue(s)?
We always wanted to do an abroad wedding but wanted to choose a destination that was easy for our guests of all ages to travel to. France is a special place for us as we went to Paris for our first holiday together. The Grand Hotel was the first venue we looked at and we fell in love with it straight away. The gardens and scenery were breathtaking and we knew there was no need to look elsewhere!
Did you have a theme or any specific décor?
We had a blush pink and cream theme. Our favourite aesthetic element of the day was the floral arrangements which were more stunning than we could have ever imagined!
How did you feel in your Castigliano gown?
I truly felt like a princess! I have never worn a gown before that is specifically made to measure and I felt so confident and elegant. When I tried on the Allegro dress in the Knightsbridge showroom, I knew that I had found the one. I really didn’t expect to be so emotional but I was overcome with emotion at how beautiful this dress was! I particularly loved the detailing on the bodice and the contrast between the tight-fitting bodice and the big circle skirt. I was also obsessed with my veil and the lace detailing. I got so many compliments on my dress on the day of the wedding.
What did you enjoy the most about your Caroline Castigliano experience?
My most memorable experience was on the first day that I visited the show room and tried on so many beautiful dresses. It was the first bridal shop I had visited and I was really unsure what style I wanted to go for. The stylist made me feel so comfortable and I tried on such a range of styles. I knew that I had found the dress as soon as I tried it on and felt no need to visit anywhere else. The store in itself is also so beautiful which really added to the experience. Another highlight of my experience with Caroline Castigliano was the first time I tried on my made-to-measure dress.
Best moment of the day?
It is really hard to pinpoint an exact moment! My top moments were walking down the aisle with my dad, seeing Ali for the first time and then listening to the speeches later on the evening.
Do you have any tips for brides-to-be?
As hard as it can be, try to not to worry to much about everyone else having a good time and focus on enjoying the day. It really does fly by so quickly so try to take in every moment and don’t leave your grooms side - you’re never going to experience this again!
On a practical note, if you are having a “night before” celebration like we did, make sure you wear comfortable shoes. I made the mistake of wearing stiletto heels and my feet were really struggling on the wedding day!
